Meet Aliko Dangote, Africa’s Richest Man

Nigerian Aliko Dangote’s wealth surged 557% last year, making him the world’s largest gainer, percentage wise, and Africa’s richest man.
His investment vehicle Dangote Cement now listed with already public Benue Cement; accounts for %25 of the total market cap of the Nigeria Stock Exchange.
Aliko Dangote is Africa’s biggest cement maker, with new cement plants being built in Zambia, Tanzania, Congo and Ethiopa and cement terminals under construction in Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast and Liberia, to name a few.
For his birthday, the African Billionaire bought himself a $45 million Bombardier aircraft to shuttle back and forth to London, while preparing for a U.K public offering.
Starting off as a commodities trader; Aliko Dangote built his Dangote Group into a multi-national conglomerate with holdings in sugar, flour milling, salt processing, cement manufacturing, textiles, real estate, and oil and gas.
